Ross Walters: Press

This last weekend our church was privileged to host Ross Walters as a guest musician.  This is the second time he has been to our church and I am certain it will not be the last.  Ross is a blessing to our church is several areas.  First of all he is a man who is seeking to honor the Lord with his life.  His sincerity, honesty and humility make him stand out in the “artist rider”-driven Christian music industry.  I have known him since 1987 and he has lived a consistent life for the Lord.
Secondly, Ross raises the level of our worship experience and musicianship.  He is a phenomenal player and singer.  We use him with our band and each time he pulls our players closer to his level of excellence.
He writes music that a seasoned musician would find mesmerizing.  When he plays you can see and hear God’s anointing and power.  As a soloist or as a part of our praise band he leads us to God’s presence with a gracious spirit.  Everyone wins when he is with us.  It would be insane to pass up and opportunity to have Ross at your church!
Travis Laws, Worship Pastor
Grove City Church of the Nazarene

Just wanted to thank you for facilitating the opportunity to have Ross with us this last Sunday. He was great! Ross ministers with grace, humility, gentleness, and phenomenal musicianship - a rare blend these days.
Pastor Jeff McCourt, Crystal Evangelical Free Church

Over the years I've had the privilege of ministering with Ross Walters throughout the United States. What an incredible musician! I love his extraordinary gift. I love the way he makes the sax wail and the flute whisper. But most of all, I love his spirit, his heart, and his willingness to be used by God. - Alvin Slaughter, International recording artist, speaker

It is my privilege to recommend the outstanding musical ministry of Ross Walters. Without a doubt, he is in my thinking one of the greatest saxophone virtuosos I have ever heard. In addition, he is confident in other mediums of music. If you enjoy exciting and anointed music, you will undoubtedly find Ross to be a real blessing. - Charles T. Crabtree, Assistant General Superintendent, Assemblies of God

Ross Walters has become a part of our church calendar on a regular basis. He has displayed a sensitivity to the direction and needs of our church body. He has never arrived seeking to be a "star attraction", but rather he has been excited to be a part of the work God is doing at our church. Ross is a talented and capable musician who is willing to function as a team player in local churches. He will make an outstanding contribution to any setting in which he plays. - Dan Whitfield, Pastor Mission Springs Community Church, Fremont, CA

It is my joy to endorse the ministry of Ross Walters. While traveling with TRUTH, night after night, people stood to their feet after Ross shared his musical testimony, as well as his personal testimony. He is a godly young man with a wonderful family. His music and message will be a great blessing to your next event. - John Roger Breland, Founder and Director of TRUTH

At every encounter, Ross has been professional in his demeanor, and prompt in his timing. His versatility and musicianship would be an asset to any public setting, whether in the church or at a concert. His music is lively and guaranteed to get you on your feet, clapping your hands. Once you hear him play, you will want him back again. -Rev. Henrik J. Mann, Silicon Valley Fellowship

Here it is Christmas in July, and what a refreshing entry is SNOW ON SNOW, a 13 selection collection of Christmas songs performed with a nice contemporary jazz flavor. ...Ross Walters does very well on saxophones, pennywhistle, and harmonica, and is backed by the creative piano stylings of Ed Goldfarb on piano. Terry Miller on bass, Jason Lewis on drums, and Emil Miland on cello add to the intricate sounds with their own intricate musical musings.

This collection will appeal to all listeners who enjoy contemporary jazz approaches to Christmas songs, and this is one of the best recent Christmas releases.
THIS REVIEW RAMBLED ON FOR A WHILE AND WAS VERY POORLY WRITTEN BUT, HEY, I DIDN'T GET A LOT OF PRESS FOR THIS RECORD AND AT LEAST IT WAS POSITIVE. - R
Ross Walters. Walters is another of the many outstanding, versatile Nashville jazz players who have larger profiles in other genres. A solid saxophonist who also plays harmonica and keyboards, he has toured with both Donna Summer and contemporary Christian stalwart Carman, and he has just issued his own holiday LP, Snow on Snow. Walters is the leadoff artist for a big pre-Christmas weekend concert lineup in Jazz@Bellevue Center's ongoing live music series. He'll be appearing at 7 p.m. date:Friday, 21st-Saturday, 22nd
Ross Walters is a reed player with several name bands. Here he plays tenor, alto and soprano sax, harmonica and pennywhistle blah blah blah.
THIS WAS ANOTHER RAMBLING REVIEW BUT I APPRECIATED THE POSITIVE PRESS FROM A LOCAL JAZZ PUBLICATION.

Hornman/harpist Ross Walters has just released his self-titled debut project. A truly talented artist with a dynamic contemporary R & B edge, Walters has assembled a red-hot roster of Bay Area players to perform on his CD, adding the right touches to his own high energy performance which virtually pulls you into the mix...The entire project is brimming with tight funk arrangements, catchy rhythms, and, of course, Walters' soulful sax and hot harmonica, all tastefully and intelligently delivered.
